Dr. Ahmad Jaafar

Certified Pediatric Complex & Palliative Care Specialist

BMSc, MBBCh, FRCPC, FAAP    

Dr. Ahmad Jaafar is Kuwait’s first specialist in Pediatric Complex Care and a leader in Pediatric Palliative Care. Board certified in Pediatrics in Canada and the United States, he completed fellowship training in both Pediatric Complex Care and Pediatric Palliative Care in Canada.

He heads the Pediatric Complex Care and Pediatric Palliative Care Units at Jahra Hospital and is a core specialist at Bayt Abdullah Children’s Hospice.

He also serves on the KIMS Competence Committee, contributes to faculty development, leads the Pediatric Complex and Palliative Care residency rotation, and chairs Jahra Hospital’s Pediatric Clinical Guidelines Committee.

He is the founder of the Pediatric Complex Care Platform and Clinical Director of the Healthy Young Athletes Program at Special Olympics Kuwait.

His work is driven by a commitment to advancing pediatric care, empowering families and healthcare professionals, and improving the lives of children with complex care needs.
